All that said, I may have wet myself just a bit when I saw the photos featuring those Celtic fret markers! That is an absolutely GORGEOUS addition to an already beautiful instrument. I think you are right in expectations of a slew of customers wanting that bit of custom work on future builds.

I have been pretty sure that I didn't need another guitar after receiving my X10 last October. I have been able to admire all the guitars I've seen since that time, without the desire to add another. Your photos have weakened my resolve.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Jim
Thx Cap'n!

Yes, I'm very pleased with the way this came out...so much so, I think I'll have another glass of sake!!

Cheers....

P.S. And you know this already ....but if you're looking for someone to talk you out of another Emerald you're subscribing to the wrong forum. :-)

Here are a few cellphone snaps from today, in not exactly direct sunlight. I do like Emeralds better!

What were your thoughts on the volume of the X30 compared to some of your other guitars? Did it seem louder or less loud than your expectations?
Its up there in loudness for sure and of course is richer sounding... fits nicely with the bevels... just an everyday masterpiece of guitarismness.

I know I posted this in another thread but when I first showed my wife the pic from the shipping video, her first words were "That looks just like your Les Paul, why did you get that?"

Y'all are nutz...these don't look similar at all![emoji1787].

U and I both brother...its a sickness.

Have a great evening.

I just blasted through 5 or so songs on Celtic Nightfire and am thoroughly enjoying it. I think there is a thinner gauge string set on, as bending is silly easy.

Cheers...

Celtic Nightfire is BEAUTIFUL!! So are your other sunburst guitars. But I like the Emerald the most. Congratulations, and best wishes for a few thousand hours of enjoyment playing Celtic Nightmare!

Beautiful guitar Todd, and you’re a great storyteller
The difference in aesthetics and custom options between our respective X30s is a good illustration of the panel of possibilities offered by Emerald!

Congrats for your new toy, and enjoy!

After working through the post, I didn't know what to expect when I'd see a photo. Stunning! Probably the Celtic Knot fret markers most make it look unique among Emeralds. Like a lot of others, your post only has me re-thinking whether I need an X-30 or just want one, regardless. Congrats!
