FS - Harmony H162
I have a Harmony H162 OM-style acoustic for sale.
The good: 1. crack free 2. 1.75” nut width 3. Solid spruce top, solid mahogany back/sides 4. Great, punchy ladder-braced sound 5. Brazilian (I do believe) fretboard and bridge 6. Playable all the way up the hefty, one-piece neck The bad: 1. Binding is deteriorating around the body 2. Action is on the higher side of playable with just enough saddle left 3. Cosmetic wear typical of an instrument made in 1969 4. No truss-rod cover 5. The neck is straight but I haven’t turned the truss rod to see how much more play there is in the neck. 6. The pick guard had deteriorated so I roughed one out of a telecaster blank. It will come off easily if you wanted to put on another one. This is a neat piece of history. It would be a great candidate for one of the luthiers that are hot-rodding these old guitars or play as it is. Pictures to follow... Asking $175 plus shipping. PM me your # and I can shoot you some sound clips. Harmony
Does the guitar ship with a case? Is the pick guard you added held on with double stick tape? Thanks, David
