Default Apogee One

This little device isn't cheap, but it seems like a nice all-in-one approach to acoustic recording with a built-in mic for vocals and a 1/4-inch input for guitar. It also has a microphone jack for a separate mic. Apparently, it's also a pretty good DAC for just listening. I've found Apogee equipment to be very good. Has anyone tried this?

Yes. In fact, my band and I intend to make our next album using the following equipment:

sE Electronics SPACE
Miktec PM5
Apogee One
iMac
Reaper DAW
Melodyne 4 Essentials

Well, I found a new one on Reverb for $50 off retail, so I guess I'll find out if it performs up to its claims. I'm especially curious about the built-in mic. Some say it's actually very good. It sure is a compact piece of kit if it works as advertised.

It looks very nice but just so long as you know it is Apple only, not for Windows users as far as I can tell.

That works for me: iMac, iPad, iPhone, MacBook Pro.

Just thought I'd pop in with this update, only the earliest version can't be used with Windows. Not a problem anymore for the most recent models.
