Default Baranik PX, Gorgeous Art Deco - Trades Considered for Martin, Bourgeois, SC, etc

The Baranik Meridian has been sold. The PX is still available.

2014 Baranik PX

This guitar is approximately 00 in size with a 14 1/4" lower bout width, but comes across more like an OM tonally. The bass, in particular, is impressive for a guitar of its size.

The guitar was originally built with the reinforcement for a sound port so that one could be added later. I wanted to hear the guitar without a sound port first. I later decided the guitar would have more depth with a sound port, so Mike added one for me. The guitar sounds much less directional after the change. For that reason, you'll see some original pictures without a sound port.

Top: Colorado blue spruce with wonderful silking
B&S: Mahogany with light figure
Decorations: Deco-style tiles with ivoroid
Bridge: Ebony, pyramid
Tuners: Open-back Schaller (Waverly style)
Neck: Mahogany with medium C profile
Frets: EVO
Nut: 1 3/4"
Saddle: 2 5/16"
Fretboard: Ebony
Side port: Yes
Case: Hoffee carbon fiber, silver exterior with green interior

This guitar is in like new condition, as is the case.

Gone, Daddy, Gone!

Default Wow

Really a magnificent piece of artistry.
I can’t get over the tuner knobs.

Well, everything about it.
It should be encased in a glass box that is trimmed in the same motif as the guitar.

Wow Juston!!!

This one is really simple, people.

Mike Baranik builds unbelievably good guitars - in build quality, aesthetics, tone and playability (Yeah, I'm biased. I have two). Check out the build threads for these beauties...they have real mojo.

And Juston? Well he's as good a guy to deal with as you will ever find.

So get in and buy one of these beauties. Quick, before Juston changes his mind !

Smile Baraniks

I can not believe you are selling these two beauties Juston. Of course, I love the black Cocobolo.

I own a Cocobolo Meridian as well, and can also attest that Mike's guitars are tops in workmanship, playability and tone. For me, the modern sound and lovely bloom and overtones of Mike's guitars are a perfect compliment to my fingerstyle playing. I will not be selling my Baraniks any time soon.

Both of your guitars for sale here look amazing Juston. GLWTS.

Thanks so much guys. I have a Super Meridian coming as well as a Baranik electric. I’ve postponed this decision a LONG time. Sigh.

Wow, Juston--really loved seeing and playing this one at SB last year!

Can't believe you're selling it--you've got me thinking.

Must be strong, and wait for my Meridian build to come due...

Thumbs up Two great guitars

I have had an occasion to play these guitars, they are really great both tonally and in the looks department. I am sure they've been well taken care of also. And notice those Hoffee cases - a nice upgrade from the standard case!

When I first saw this thread, I feared the worst. A business calamity? A personal tragedy? What could could possibly force you to sell these beauties, Juston?

Glad to know there's a perfectly logical, not to mention felicitous reason! Good luck with your sale, amigo!

Thankfully, nothing calamitous at all. Just fantastically bad error in judgement. I guarantee I’ll be back in a year trying to find out who owns them.
