Default Ekon guitars

I ran across an interesting guitar in a pawnshop today. I haven't been able to find out about it online so I thought I'd ask on the forum. The peghead said, "Ti. Ekon". Inside on the backstrap, it was branded, "Hand crafted in Japan. Ti. Ekon". It also had "Ekon" on the tuning keys. This guitar seemed to be a copy of an D-28. Just a standard spruce on rosewood dreadnaught. It looked like a fairly decent guitar. It played well and had a nice low action to it. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Thanks for any help you might be able to give.

I'm bumping this back up in case there's someone who knows about these guitars, but who wasn't online over the weekend.
