Default Lame Horse is Coming to BIG!

Lame Horse Instruments is looking forward to BIG this coming weekend. We are going several places this fall - BIG in New Braunfels, Texas; Cremona Musica in Cremona, Italy; Ullapool Guitar Festival, Ullapool, Scotland; and Festival de Guitar Puteaux, Paris, France. We will have several instruments. Chris will be speaking in Cremona, Italy. However, we built a pair of special instruments from Italian spruce and mahogany from Belize, especially for these shows. The attendees at BIG will be the first to see and hear them. We will have a Saddle Pal with a wonderful back and sides from the TREE. Also a Big Hoss with back and sides from the Fiddleback Tree. This is perfectly matched curly mahogany.

Both guitars are certainly a feast for the eyes. I can’t wait to see both in person.

These are gorgeous instruments! I’d have love to find a corner and play what you build. Some day… I’m sure folks loved having the opportunity this weekend!

I really enjoyed talking about his guitars with Chris and playing them at B.I.G. I really like his approach for looking at the development from more of a science and measurement basis for consistency.

The end result was these instruments were amongst my top favorites at the show. Much better bass response per body size than most and beautiful clarity and sustain. The innovations they have in construction all make a lot of sense as well. (Like the adjustable under tension neck angle)

Also the detail level is insane in their builds including some fun decorations on the inside of the guitars.
