I know it’s controversial, but I believe forums really do open up over time and sound better with each passing year. In another few decades, imagine how good AGF is gonna sound!
Those pre-war forums sound phenomenal. The ones right off the manufacturing line, not so much...

This forum is so much more mature and intelligent than i was at age 19!!
I have learned a lot about our beloved instrument on these pages of AGF, and been introduced to the life changing world small shop luthiers at the top of their craft. Thank you, JR!!

Thanks for this great forum, where the format is clear, logical and every single post stands on its own without any confirmation bias fabricated by ‘like’ statistics, allowing for the dissemination of knowledge regarding acoustic guitars. I found AGF last winter, having only two guitars, one bought in 1969 and another in 2006.
AGF introduced me to GAS and Reverb. Since then I have bought six more guitars, of which two were returned and one sold. AGF is an education as well as a boon to the industry.
