i think i saw them in target or some retail store. i believe they are some sort of offshore gibson cheap guitars. at least gibson used to own the name, maestro. i never found the need to pick up one but if you are interested, they may be fine for your needs.

^^^ Not sure exactly which company the OP is asking about, but the second response doesn't seem to be the same one I am thinking about.
If the OP is asking about Maestro Guitars in Singapore, then I can say that I visited their showroom last year on a trip to the Lion City, and I was extremely impressed by their guitars. I was impressed with the price vs build quality and aesthetics. I think they are VERY good value for money guitars. I intend to go back there this year and return with a Raffles model in tow.

My two cents.
I've had my Maestro Raffles Adi over Madrosewood for a week and it's my favorite guitar. The size is perfect at 15 1/4" lower bout and re 4 1/4" depth. The jumbo shape and the beveled armrest makes it really comfortable to play. Then there's the sound. The string balance is comparable to my Borgeois but without the bright, brittle sounding highs. The first three strings are loud but full sounding. I happened to get it off Reverb at a huge discount and I may have them make me a custom double top 12 fret, short scale if the price is right. Look at quiver; these are no slouches and this is what I play the most!

My limited understanding is that both answers are correct.
Gibson used to own a cheap-o brand name called Maestro (and another called Baldwin) that were geared for students. Very cheap guitars and not real Gibsons. Much later a new company in Singapore started up called Maestro and they are simply stuck with the bad luck of using the same musical word for their name.

I have played my friend’s Maestro Victoria once. Impressive playability (plek’d).
If I am getting a guitar in the future I will consider either a Maestro Vera or a Taylor grand concert for fingerstyle.

I personally rate them very highly but only on their Private Collection models. The Private Collection models are incredible sounding guitars due to the advanced bracing adopted. Mind you I am making this opinion alongside my past ownership of guitars like Collings, Huss Daltons, Taylors etc. I have owned 2 Private Collections in the past during my search and experimental phase and will gladly come back to them again in the future.
