Thanks Fran,

Really like the tune, and that OM sounds pretty good as well!

In about 10 years, maybe my slack key repertoire will be approaching where yours is now

Fran, that OM-18GE sounds fantastic, and so does your playing! So you recorded that clean, no reverb or eq? Wow, what a great guitar.

It's been too cold here to spend time upstairs in the studio (we're too cheap to heat the upstairs in the winter) so here's one from the living room: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLPdBM2srGU

love it Fran! Very relaxing yet highly skilled playing. Great touch (and video work).

Edit: The link in your sig still doesn't work but once I got my spelling bug figured out I got to the artist page. Cool.

Thanks, Fran! I think it is fixed now.

Well that might be about right. I think I'm going on 12 or 13 years of slack key this year. You've started a nice collection of pieces on your YT channel already.

Fun, isn't it? Have you met any of "the guys" or been to one of the workshop camps?

You're hearing just what the recorder picked up, with the volume bumped up in post. I was very pleasantly surprised at the lack of "room tone" on the track, I seem to have lucked into a mic position that gave a good direct to reflected ratio without too much proximity effect.

I've been doing guitar get togethers here going back to 2001, so we've had quite a few amazing guitars come through here. I even own a few instruments that I'd say are pretty nice. The GE has never been intimidated by any of them (grin).

Thanks, Derrick. Way across town from the kind of stuff you do, just blowing over the changes and ricocheting off the melody. Even when I "compose" a piece I don't have the discipline to nail down every note and nuance the way you do.

Thanks, Andrew. I've fantasized about finding someone to handle the camera so I can get away from locked down shots and I finally found a sucker, um, I mean partner. I just hope he gets the bug for video and wants to keep doing it.

Hey, Phil, from what I hear you guys could use all the sunshine you can get. I was just reading about your brutal storm season this year.

Good to know we have talent right here near home! I'm just south of you.
