Tonedexter plus Loop Station?
Hi folks,
I just learned about the Tonedexter, had never come across thing pedal before. It seems great and I'm considering buying one. I own three good acoustic guitars with three different Pickups: Atkin Essential 000 with a K&K Pure Mini Furch OOM34 with an LR Baggs Anthem Taylor 314ce with ES 1.3, which might however soon be replaced by a K&K Pure Mini. My idea is to have the possibility, mostly for solo gigs, to get a sound from my guitar which is as natural as possible. Obvious, as that's what the TD is there for. However, depending on the setlist, venue etc I use my Boss RC500 quite heavily, meaning 5-8 track loops in the style of Carl Wockner or Ed Sheeran, Mic loops included. An example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EB-sWZNJ0as I am guessing, that for those purposes the Tonedexter might be not the right fit (esp for voice loops) and possibly overwhelmed by a number of loops coming out of the loop station? Would placing the TD before the Loop station in the signal chain help at least for the second issue? An idea for the first issue might be an additional loop station midi synced with the one used solely for guitar? Any ideas appreciated. Best wishes, Bastian

You can use a Tonedexter, just put it ahead of the Loop Station.
That is, plug the guitar into the TD, then the TD into the Loop Station instrument input. Plug the mic directly into the Loop Station mic input. You’ll be fine. The TD is a fine preamp for your guitar, among its other abilities. Processing the vocals with TD is not what you want probably. Results will be, as we used to say, unpredictable.
