I'm really enjoying it. I'd be curious to hear what a non-surfer thinks of it (do you surf?), as there is a good bit of surfing-specific description in the book. Certainly there is a lot more there, but it's grounded around that life an activity.

I’m currently in various stages of reading these 4 books. I’m almost done “The Plot...” and just started “The Glass Room.” All good reads.

Mr. Wilson’s War by John Dos Passos. Fascinating chronicle of the US and the world at large between 1900-20. My grandparents told me a lot about this era but I’ve never studied it. Well worth your time.

Currently reading the 3rd book of the Lightbringer Series by Brent Weeks.
I've read the first three books several times already, but yet to rad the 4th which was released earlier this year. The 5th and final book comes out next year.
If you're interested in a new fantasy world full of magic, swords, muskets and cannons, this is a great read. A really neat twist on the magic side of things is all based on colour.

I also highly recommend Weeks' other series, the Night Angel Trilogy. Medieval Assassins.

Just finished this one. Great read! Thanks for the tip!

Have you read the Stormlight archive series by Brandon Sanderson? If you like those books you'll love them.

I recently read 'Master Assassins: The Fire Sacraments, Book One'

The title and cover art do not do that book justice it was an amazing read.

Me too!

I found this book extremely interesting and informative and it also confirmed my own theories.
I have since read his later book Homo Deus and just realised that I have 21 lessons for the 21st Century on my kindle but have not yet started it.

Flipping back and forth between two books at the moment, depending upon where I am. Here's one of them. H.P. Lovecraft has some great stories to tell.

I'm sort of strange as I have never surfed and don't like my legs dangling in the big fish bowl without seeing what is below. This is why I go hiking, lol, but am so enamored with the ocean and love watching people surf. It just draws me in,

I recently finished listening to Heaven and Hell: My Life In The Eagles by Don Felder. Aside from the early chapters dragging on a little too long, it was worth an Audible credit.

One of my all time favorite writers. I hope “The Dunwich Horror” is in that collection!
