When I did my cable research, I came to the conclusion that the Planet Waves American Stage were the best value in great sounding cables. They're 30$ or so. If you want to take it to the next level, but still stay shy of Vovox, Laboga money, I've heard great things about the Silktone cables for around 70$

yep, the quality of ends has improved in the interim. It's a fun story-we shared a bag of an illegal substance but he didn't have his part of the cost so made me a cable. Long ago in a galaxy far away.

I have been gigging for 30 years with a Whirlwind Leader Elite 18.5 ft. It is the braided kind. I've never had a problem with it in those 30 years. I used it at a gig tonight.

I order the lifetime guarantee Sweetwater branded cables. About every two years I’ll have to have one replaced. I just have to email them and they get it shipped to me the next day. And I’ve learned over the years to always bring a backup for everything so if one craps out unexpectedly I’ve got a backup to get through the gig.

I am also not a believe of super expensive cables. My buddy swears by Mogomi. I havsnt been able to hear a difference myself. If you have the extra money to burn, spend as much as you can afford.
