That's a sweet looking Balor, HD. Enjoy the wait...not long to go now. benderman57's X20 coco/sapwood might be the first of them on the left.

I've not heard an actual "It's on it's way" from Sean yet but last week he said it would be shipped no later than this Friday.

I'm with you on my Cocobolo being that guitar. Big tip off to me is that I ordered mine with a side preamp and that has one.

I know I'm in the minority when it comes to side mount preamps but I'm much happier playing live and having the controls at my finger tips.

I'm hoping that adding some of my BodyRez pedal will make it sound nice in a system. I got plenty of gigging guitars and that's really not why I bought this but I may have to take this out some.

That Baylor Bass is something else! The Bass player in my Trio is jones-ing to maybe order one. That picture or pictures to come of it just might sway him!

Haha...knew it!!! Yet another gets to enjoy the wait and excitement. Btw, of the three cocos in the pic, I find yours the nicest...exquisite. I like the wider the sapwood and all the way from heel to neck.

I agree, I mean they are all very nice but I do like what I'm seeing so far.

This will be my 4th Emerald but my first Woody. I play the others all of the time as they are my "Leave Out" guitars. I don't really play my X7 all that much but do plan of taking it on some flying trips coming up.

I don't mind the electronics with a barndoor at all. I have a couple guitars with it, and I have no issue getting a great sound plugged in. My X7 has the B-Band pickup, and it makes the X7 sound huge! I do have a bit of BodyRez dialed in with all my guitars with the Play Acoustic. If your X20 has the B-Band, I have no doubt you will be pleased with it. My X20 has the LR Bags Active Element; haven't had it home to try it with my rig, only plugged it into a Zoom H4n Pro to check it out (sounds good).

I'll be interested to read your review when you've had a chance to put it through its paces.

Congrats all around on the soon-to-happen NGDs!

My X20 12 String and X20 Baritone have the B-Band Electronics. They sound very good with some BodyRez dialed in. The one I'm about to get in is going to have the Baggs System but with the Barndoor preamp. I don't think they do a lot of these as most people opt for the simple volume or V & T soundhole controls. Or they upgrade to the Anthem or maybe even a K&K.

Tracked this morning and it's still in the UK, but I still might see it by the weekend.

It may be time to start preparing for the little talk you'll need to have with your Tacomas if the Balor turns out to be all that you hoped.

I know what it's like. My cobalt blue Emerald X20 was purchased as a (serious) upgrade to my old Tacoma Chief six-string, which I think is still in a closet. I'm not sure, really… I haven't seen it in about four years.

At least one of the Tacomas will get rehomed, I've had inquiries for months.
