My favorite springtime memory is when I was about six years old. It was a warm spring day and the sun was shining. I lay on the hammock in my back yard and gazed up at the trees, newly leafed out. As the sun shone through the leaves, it created an almost kaleidoscope effect as they moved in the gentle breeze. It was truly mesmerizing and joyful.

Going to the ancient Sanders-Jacobs Field to see our Class-A baseball team in the 70's.

Going up into the mountains with my family and friends. By late spring the snow here is usually gone, but that year we found enough snow for tobogganing and some cross-county skiing, all in beautiful sunny weather.

Seeing daffodils blooming is my favorite sign of spring.

My best springtime memory?

It was a beautiful day.
The sun beat down.
I had the radio on.
I was driving.
Trees went by.
Me and Del were singing Little Runaway.
I was flying.

1977, my first motorcycle vacation. Chicago to Ft Collins, CO on my Honda 750- F. Great peaceful ride seeing the beauty of spring. Stayed at a little motel in Fort Collins only to wake up to 30 inches of fresh snow. Motorcycle was buried up to the tank in snow. Needless to say I was there for several days with nothing to do but look at the snow or watch TV.
The ride home gave me beautiful weather the entire way. This adventure planted the seed for my many motorcycle trips and memories.

Every spring watching my 70+ roses come to life. And this year, the 50th Anniversary new front garden with finches frolicking in the fountain. 68 degrees, a guitar, and the front garden bench. Life is good.

After living in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada until I was 12 years old, back then, I always enjoyed the aroma of the thawing soil and vegetation on the spring wind. I could still experience winter, as several times my family could drive north up to Timmins, Ontario, Canada, for Easter at my Grandparent's home with 5-feet of snow still on the ground. Fond memories of the old sod and my younger days ...

Hi, Everyone. These are wonderful. Keep 'em coming.

JUST an FYI for everyone.... I choose a winner for a drawing like this by using an online random number generator. Your number in the drawing is the post number you see in the upper right-hand corner of your post.

Thanks again. Spring is the time for celebration. Let's honor it.

Each spring I am reminded of the the birth of my first daughter, Linsey. I always recall that the apple blossoms at our small Sonoma county home began opening that day.
