That's some serious restraint! I hear those are really nice...

They are very nice, I had one for week or so while I tried to return it due to the finish being ruined. But it sounded great. It's just not the sound I'm looking for at the moment. But if you want warm and woody Gibson-ish thrum, it has it in spades.

I've been window-shopping since it really was "window" shopping - back when every neighborhood had a mom-&-pop music store, first-line makers protected dealer exclusivity, and even those "open-line" beginner/intermediate guitars were made here in the USA; learned a lot then and now - what features I like, what I can do without, new sounds/looks I can add to my stable, where the market is going (for better or worse, especially back in the '70s/80s) - and made fewer "bad" purchases as a result. Still window-shop whenever I get the chance - the internet is cool and convenient, but nothing beats seeing/hearing those bad boys in person...

In retrospect I wished you had also posted that here as I may be looking for exactly something like that as I'm having a heck of a time finding a guitar with a 1 11/16 nut width AND at a price I can afford.

There are used ones out there around that $900 mark and that's still a good deal for what you get. Check out reverb and make offers until someone accepts. Maybe you can even convince someone to take the transaction offline and save some bucks for both of you.

And I didn't post here because we don't have a "good deals found online" area on these forums I do not believe.

"Grass is Greener Over Thereism" is a natural human trait. There is a reason that one of the 10 Commandments is "Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbor's Wife's Popcorn."

Oh come on MyCroft.

Are you saying there would be a debate about Hot Buttered Popcorn vs Mahogany or Rosewood.

Perish the thought

Hot Buttered Pop Corn would Win EVERY TIME
