Thank you for providing me with an entertaining diversion!

Apparently ‘fute’ means ‘whistle’ - or did, once upon a time. It’s not in my 1828 Webster’s

I was already out of school by 1828, so "fute" was not in any of my vocabulary tests at the time. For the record, it is not in the Scrabble dictionary.

I have been trying to work up from nuisance to entertaining diversion, so thanks for the words of encouragement.

I don't know about fute versus refute, but one question has always puzzled me. Once you are disgruntled, how do you ever get re-gruntled?

I think there is an exam involved.

Does the exam involve a rubber glove, turning your head and coughing?

That would make me extremely dischuffed, almost to the point of disgruntlement. Well beyond being slightly peeved.

This is a great idea! It made my decision so much easier when eatswodo was kind enough to meet up with me. Too easy, in fact, and expensive, but so worth it!

I'm on the other side of the Twin Cities from eatswodo, and would be happy to share. Prolly have to wait til it gets a little nicer out, because I need it to be outside.

A second meeting with me might prove expensive for either or both of us, Jim

But, not in Minnesota for a month or three, for sure.

This is probably a long shot, but anybody close to Atlanta have an x20 they'd let me play for a few minutes?

Good luck, jklotz. "Want to try" posts is the exact intent of this thread.

I'm considering ordering an Emerald and would love a chance to try an X10 and/or X20. I briefly tried an X20 a few months ago before a gig in a somewhat noisy setting. I'm located in Brooklyn, NY, willing to drive a bit.

Thanks!

At some point I would love to try a Mcpherson sable.

I have a Klos travel hybrid, X7 nylon, x20, x30-12, Blackbird El Capitan and Journey RT660

I'm in the Seattle Eastside area.

So David, have you become depeeved from your earlier disgruntlement?

Yes, indeed. It’s very wearing to maintain any level of peevishness - so I prefer to banish the feeling as soon as I can.

Much rather be happily gruntled
