And honestly Willie, it will always look right side up to you whenever you are playing your beautiful guitar!

Ha ha, that's right....or left, or leftright. I'm confused, but I'll survive this.

I figure my next Ric will be one of the vintage reissues. I especially want a 330/12. Haha. It'll have a period correct tailpiece.

For some models, the wait time can be long, but Rickenbacker is really great about making lefties. That's hard to find.
I think the issue with those tailpieces with the "R" is that they're fragile, poorly designed...at least this is what I keep seeing in reviews. Never had that style myself, so can't comment from personal experience. The other ones don't look as cool but I can vouch for the fact that they're pretty much bullet-proof.

BTW, I got into the tailpiece digression and neglected to say "Nice guitar", so...NICE guitar! I love me some Rickenbacker, and they really have their own unique tone and mojo. I've been mulling over the idea of maybe replacing one of my Strats with a six-string version of my 660-12...

Absolutely gorgeous guitar, ch willie! Congratulations!
And that fretboard ... wow ... love the patterns and flow of that grain ...

As for the tailpiece - if you ever do decide to change it up, maybe you can get one made, flip the orientation ... and change it to an "L" instead of an R!

Haha. Thanks. You know, I'd do that with the tailpiece. Love it.

It's actually a 660-12 (12 string version); the differences are that the 660s have the vintage re-issue toaster-top single coils and the neck has a 1.75" nut width...the only Rickenbacker that's wide enough that I can play accurately.

There are others - the 1993Plus 12-string also has a 1.75" nut, as do the 650 6-strings. Here's my 2001 650D:

Sorry, after all this time, I still have trouble with Ric models and numbers.

Nice one... never played a Rick enough to get close to them, but I know a lot of players who love 'em... Congratulations on that new one!

At my local store here in town, Bullfrog Music, they've had the same model but a 12 string on consignment for a while now... an iconic guitar, to be sure!

It's a 330/6, closest I can get to George Harrison without six more strings. Seriously, I like the Tom Petty and Johnny Marr connection to the Rickenbacker as well.
