Default What is your favorite acoustic guitar among your collection?

For those of you who have multiple guitars is there a favorite that you seem to always pick up?

I just recently picked up a Martin X Series acoustic guitar that I have been so enamored with. It will stay by my couch for quite awhile. Remarkably affordable, for a guitar under $500 it has become quite the favorite for me...

Mine is my Martin OMC35. Most comfortable guitar to play that I own. I like the MLO neck and the OM body size works well on the couch, on a stool and sitting by the pool. It’s the one guitar that I always grab when I just want to sit down and play.

I know what you mean. I played everything in the local Guitar Center room that had guitars up to $1000 (the next room had the high dollar guitars, with locks) and the best thing in the room was a used X Series Martin. The volume and tone in that price range was amazing. They did not have an Eastman, though, and my new best friend in my Eastman E1D. I can't put it down.

My dreads have been largely neglected lately and most of my acoustic playing has been divided up between my LG2 and Taylor GC XXX KE. I’m really loving the sound and responsiveness of these smaller bodies.

My recently acquired Telecaster has actually seen the most playing over
The last 2 months.

My RainSong, only because it is the only real guitar I have. My Aria is essentially a piece of garbage because of the many years of low humidity abuse it took.

I’m anticipating that my incoming Yamaha guitar will eventually be my favourite.

Oddly enough,my GS mini right now. Something about the comfort to playability to sound ratio that just keeps me picking it up.

All of them, and most likely the next one, too!

That's what I find so remarkable about guitars. That you can pick up an expensive guitar and it just doesn't speak to you and then you find something with zero bling and it just feels amazing in your hands and then you listen to the tone and you can't believe it's a "budget" guitar because it sounds so good!

My GS8 which I have had for over 12 years is now in it's case, for a well deserved rest as now this modest Martin X Series guitar has become quite the favorite! It's tone is amazing and the Fishman Sonitone pickup is the bomb!

I may not be able to say this but for a few more days, but right now my 000-18 GE...no brainer! It’s been my fave for a couple years now.

Well, I only have two, but my Taylor 224ce-K DLX has my favor right now, I love my Gibson though, and when the newness of the Taylor wears off I suspect they’ll share playing time equally. I’m GASing really bad right now for small one to take in our motorhome, and the Yamaha CSF1M is the leading candidate. Negotiations are on-going with the finance dept (wife), as we speak.
