When I look at the list of songs I'm playing and singing (such as it is) a lot these days, there are a few I've been playing as long as I can remember.
Coming into Los Angeles Sweet Virginia Dear Doctor (I can actually almost pull off a goofy vocal on this one) Wild Horses It's All Over Now Baby Blue Loser (the Dead) I Know You Rider Willin And it Stoned Me Angel From Montgomery Little Wing & Hey Joe (mostly electric) And almost anything by Neil Young, pre-1980 -Ray |

All Along the Watchtower. Simple repeating pattern than can be varied in many ways and accepts unusual time and syncopations, not too many words to remember, but a song that relates to many situations.

In an Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel.
I can't even sing it, but the 50's chord progression in G, played with the capo in a different position every time ("Where will we try it today?'), is one of my warm-up songs.

i don't play covers normally so it would probably be two or three of my own songs.
i did have a friend over the other day who was playing "ruby baby" and "summertime," so it was fun playing those with him. play music!

It's not just a couple for me. In no particular order I will probably play most if not all of these for the rest of my days. I know many more and I am always learning new ones.
Mediterranean Sundance is my latest. Currently, I only have a short 1 minute arrangement, but I am working on expanding it. The Beatles Something Blackbird (Actually need to re-learn this one. I loved playing it.) Here Comes the Sun (again with the re-learning thing) Pink Floyd: Pigs on the Wing Comfortably Numb Mother Wish You Were Here Brain Damage - Eclipse Folk Singer/Songwriter Helplessly Hoping House of the Rising Sun City of New Orleans Old Man Heart of Gold Sugar Mountain There Comes a Time Acoustic Progressive Rock I Talk to The Wind Epitaph Even in the Quietest Moments Give a Little Bit of Your Love To Me Dust in the Wind Cheyene Anthem Lucky Man Blood on the Rooftops Intro Horizons The Sleeping Sea Mood for A Day Rivendale The Trees Mediterranean Sundance Classical Menuet in G Prelude in C Prelude in Dm Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring Estudio in Em Waltz in Em |

I play this one as well! It was one of the first songs I learned when I came back to guitar 2 years ago after a dark period in my life.
