Default What led me to my custom builds

Hi all,
I replied on one of the posts in this thread inquiring about upcoming builds this year. I just received a John Greven 000 (which I will post about very soon) and will be receiving a Montuoro, Larson Bros. inspired guitar later this year as well.

I've been describing a guitar related trip in another thread that includes a great deal of what led me to decide to commission these builds.

The highlight was a visit with the eminent luthier Ervin Somogyi who was a major influence in my decision making process.

In case this might be of interest to anyone, here's a link to that thread, of which the latest posts deal with my encounter with Mr. Somogyi.

Thanks,
Larry
