I agree he is a great coach. Followed him when he was at Boise State.

My Nebraska Cornhuskers take on the CU Buffaloes in Boulder tomorrow.

Nasty CU fans tried to keep the Husker faithful out of the stands by limiting ticket sales and spiking prices, but it will be a sea of red anyway.

This is a very important game for the Huskers as they make the long climb back towards college football relevance after many years in the hinterlands.

Wow, Ohio State won 42-0 and they dropped 1 spot to #6 in the polls.

Lots of undefeated teams, still. The SEC will start eating its own soon; that may help.

Must be a different standard. The opposing team should have had a negative score to help OSU’s ranking, although impossible.

IMO, I would not describe Cincinnati a cupcake. Cincinnati is a Division 1 team, who finished 11-2 last season, played Virginia Tech in the bowl game and won. The final AP Top 25 poll ranked the Bearcats 24th. This year, the week before playing Ohio State, Cincinnati played a PAC 12 team called UCLA, and beat them.

How's Boston College looking, AE? Do you think they'll hit the top 25 rankings this year?

Well Cincinnati is not ranked in the top 40 and beating UCLA is no great shakes, they're having trouble learning how to tie their shoes. However, I may have been a little hasty in criticizing them. OSU's schedule is far better than the SEC teams playing REAL cupcakes......

Agreed, New Mexico State, UT Martin were just two of the SEC's cupcakes last week.

It is worth noting several publications have Cincinnati ranked in the top 40 in preseason and today.

Preseason:
Athlon "preseason #32"

Current:
CBS sports "ranking" this week #39 (falling 5 spots from last weeks ranking) however they remain ranked ahead of five Pac 12 teams.

I applaud the LSU's and Texas AD's who schedule out of conference games. It is difficult to know several years out when scheduling which teams will be in the top tier. This is Luke Fickell's third season with the Bearcats so it will be worthwhile to see if they can recover from last week's game and win out the rest of the season. UCF and UC game will be one to watch.

I would dearly like to hear from some Michigan fans...somethin' weird going on up there in Ann Arbor.

Go Buckeyes
