Default Round Peak in Brazilian and adirondack

This is one of 4 guitars on my bench.
Back and sides are Brazilian rosewood, and the top is master grade adirondack spruce. Binding and bevels are cocobolo. Rosette is burled Honduran rosewood.

The bridge will most likely be braz, the fretboard ebony, and the overlay braz.

It's off to the finisher. I'll post more pics upon its return. I think these woods will really pop under finish.

That's a real stunner, John!

Love the bevels and the deep reveal on the soundport.

Cant wait to see this one under finish...

Quite handsome John. Is that some of the "beam" Brazilian?

Thanks Bro. This is not beam rosewood, its Bob rosewood. You remember the deal Bob and I had. The sides are just crazy enough to cause me some concern so I laminated them with Spanish cedar

Absolutely Gorgeous John! This one is going to be a beauty. I remember seeing that wood at your shop John and I knew it would be awesome!! And yes, those colors should just explode under finish!

Smile What nemoman said...

I am glad to second (or third) nemoman! The bevels and port are mighty nice, as always from the Bevel King... haha. Stunning woods as we have come to expect from JK! VERY Beautiful indeed.

You should put up a pic of this one next to my Maple BOMB. Then we can all play "Ginger or Mary-Ann?" And if you know what I mean you are officially old. Sigh.

Folks, if you have not experienced the awesome comfort of double bevels, you may find yourself amazed at how a BIG axe can feel so comfortable !!!

I have absolutely no doubt that the new owner will be thrilled to death.

Keep them coming John!

Cheers

Paul

Ya know, you're right. Heck I was THERE at the time lol. Like Paul said...something about "you know when you're getting old"...sometimes I think I am getting old and/or I simply have way too much stuff on my mind. Between several builds, tax issues, and markets that go nuts daily, sometimes I just forget some of the simple things.

All I know is that the brother who gets this one is gonna LOVE it!!

Thanks Paul.
It won't be long now for yours. Rob used your latest guitar, the mahogany short neck as inspiration for his. Same scale length, same shape, two bevels.

Smile Rob is Wise...

As John said above:
"Thanks Paul.

What a smart guy Rob is. And as I recall I was lucky to receive the BROWN BOMB at all, as Rob had his checkbook out and was offering to outbid me... I am very grateful you declined his offer. And he will be super stoked with this one for sure. So all is well!

More pics please...

Paul
