confusion: Power adapter for Yamaha Silent guitar. Help
Hi I just want to make sure I'm not gonna blow up my guitar.
In the Yamaha Manual is says that it needs a PA130A power adapter, but when i go to the website to buy one it says this is made for Yamaha Keyboards? https://www.gear4music.dk/en/G4M/Yam...er-Supply/2C38 Can i still use it on my guitar? |

I got a , PA-130 B instead of PA-130A. In the manual it says they both work for the Silent Yamaha Guitars.

As long as the plug is correct, the output voltage is correct and it can provide enough current in Amps, you're OK. More current listed is not a problem because that is just the amount it CAN deliver if it is being drawn by the device. Kind of like your wall outlet. Mine CAN deliver 20 amps, but that doesn't mean it will always throw out 20 amps, even if the device is only needing 0.5 amps.

Yamaha uses 12 volt, positive tip, DC power supplies for most of their consumer products (this is the standard for networking gear such as a wireless router). Most guitar accessories follow the Ibanez Tube Screamer standard of 9 volt negative tip (and a slightly narrower inner dimension). No worries between the two 12 volt Yamaha supplies, they are both 12 volt positive tip.
