……..

Okay there are quite a few 1-star ratings there. And every single one of them is the result of 2 (two) votes.

Two AGF members voted one star.

AGF has one hundred and twelve thousand, four hundred and twenty-nine members.

This is just not something to even remotely care about on any level.

A few of us are offering our personal opinions about a topic that came up on a discussion forum...that's why most of us are here...

Thanks for caring enough to take the time to research those exact numbers for us, and posting your opinions to the discussion...

The rating system allows you to rate your own thread, so, be sure to give yourself 5 stars to improve the average!

Someone else had complained about it and then I noticed it on one or two of my threads. I have a feeling its done by just a handful of people with a mean streak in them.

Their lives suk, they can't play guitar and even their dog doesn't like them. Its tough being them so they take it out on us

Who knew there was a rating system here, I sure didn’t. I don’t see it on the AGF app.

I give this thread one star but then, I'm just mean.

This is the first and only thread I’ll ever rate. I didn’t even know there was a rating system and will continue to ignore it.

If you go to the Show & Tell section you will find a fair number of offerings that have been marked with a single star. Perhaps I am sensitive to this issue since I provide offerings in Show & Tell on average of about once per week.

I think it really goes against the "Be Nice" mission of the AGF to allow people to provide a public one-star ("terrible") rating to someone's video or recording of their song offering in Show & Tell. I think it's bad elsewhere on the forum, as well, but in Show & Tell, when people are really sticking their neck out in public, I think allowing this practice is unconscionable.

I do like Lowrider's attitude of immediately posting a higher rating to a thread in an attempt to counter this less than nice practice among some people.

I can't help wondering if this rating practice could simply be made inoperative on the forum?? It really is contrary to the AGF mission. Getting terrible ratings might really crush some people who have offered a video in Show & Tell.

Rating anything on this forum seems counter to what this forum should be about.

Many of us are "rated" in many aspects of the rest of our lives. Jobs, musical performances, parenting skills, how we're doing on our diets, you name it.

There shouldn't be anything that remotely smacks of the kinda' stuff I often see or hear about on a well known social media.

No ratings please.
