Tom Sands Guitars meeting...
This is the first time that it has happened...but we managed to get four of Tom's guitars in the same place at the same time...
Numbers: 3, 4, 8 & 9! And what a lovely time we all had!

Yes, indeed.
A couple of Kostals thrown in as well, one making a brief return to its former home and brought soundboard-to-soundboard with the evil nylon string that forced it's departure. Also a Forster, Bashkin, Bamburg and Kinnaird I think. All were really great instruments. What a smorgasbord, reminding all present that we truly live in the Golden Age of lutherie and that's there's something for all pockets. This was a rather impromptu and all-too-brief meeting precipitated by teh delivery of a couple of Sands guitars. Ian's legendary July bash next month will be far better: One of the high points of my year these days. Cheers, Steve |
