The combination of the Italian Spruce and almost chocolate brown BZ should be incredibly beautiful to behold, and no doubt equally impressive tonally.

How long from the time you put in your order till you take delivery? Waitin on this build would keep me up at nights

yikes..

i've never seen braz wood like that before.. and if it was "wanted" in the old days.. it must be a treasure..

commando, is there an upcharge on top of the braz upcharge just for that particular set?! i'm thinking it's worth more than some of the braz sets we see nowadays?

wonder how that set got kept aside so long... weee!!

Being a self appointed Gasologist, this is NOT gas!
Im not sure what it is but its not gas...
When someone orders one after the other,
the thrill ll is in the waiting, not in the having...
Thats why people are so eager to post pre build pics.
I mean, how does one have the time to break in , one
after the other.....I dunno....
What whatever it is, Commando seems be
having a good time, so im happy for him.

Congrats!! Italian spruce is a fantastic tonewood. I think you're going to have a beautiful guitar when Mr. Olson is finished. Any ETA of when it'll be finished?

Kindly,
Danny

Gorgeous set of Brazilian.

But then you had to go ruin it with a strip of contrasting wood down the middle and that Florentine cutaway.

Thanks everyone . It'll likely be done sometime in spring/summer I assume.

When I saw this set of wood, it was a no brainer and fortunately I was in a position to make a move on it - who knows when (if ever) another set like this will appear?

Also, when Jim retires, ordering one won't even be an option. Imagine what it could be worth then?

Is that your guitar made from "The Beam"?

What's the story on that piece of wood? (Must have a story since it has a name )

I prefer the look of that one to the one you're having built now. But I'd take either one you'd like to give me.

That is the very best of Brazilian I've ever seen. I always feel like the more it looks like Indian the better, and that looks like stunning chocolate straight grained Indian, except that it's Brazilian

Okay, you must be one of the Wall Street guys that got the 18 Billion in bonuses right?
