Years ago when I was younger and more agile (read "thinner"), I took a swimming pool-based WW kayak class. I throw up on airplanes so clearly practicing consecutive eskimo rolls was not going to sit well. Let's just say I was very happy when flat water kayaking became popular because I loved paddling on calm waters without having to learn how to roll. If I fall out, so be it.....

I notice a little vertigo when capsized. Wondering if I can train it out by practicing headstands and forward rolls (and of course eskimo rolls).

The only time it ever used to bother me was when practicing as many rolls as I could complete in a row as fast as I could go.

Certainly wasn't an issue at 39.

Playing on the Colorado in the Grand Canyon in 1996.
