Saw Bob Dylan tonight
Had a superb time seeing Bob Dylan for the third time tonight. His voice was in fine form and he played some absolutely beautiful arrangements of I Contain Multitudes, Crossing the Rubicon, I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight and Every Grain of Sand. Felt very emotional a few times - it struck me like a tonne of bricks. Met and had drinks with some other Dylan fans from the forum Expecting Rain after the gig - always good to meet people with similar interests.
I will see him for the fourth and possibly final time tomorrow - looking forward to it and to see if the arrangements or vocals are at all different. Key West was very different from the album and one of the most memorable performances. I know his live performances are divisive but the audience seemed to love it for the most part and I for one am extremely grateful he’s still touring. |

I didn’t know Bob was still alive.

Not sure if you are being facetious or sincere but not only is he still performing regularly, he released a critically acclaimed album in 2020. Here’s one of the songs from it:
I think it’s very unfortunate when older artists are dismissed purely down to their age. As an aside, on his old age, Bob has this to say. I ain't dead yet My bell still rings I keep my fingers crossed Like them early Roman kings |

I was able to see him earlier this year on the current tour. I also thoroughly loved his new stuff and his new takes on older songs. One of my friends didn't like the show - he was expecting a "human juke box" replay of Bob Dylan's greatest hits.
I love and applaud Dylan for NOT being stuck in the past. But apparently some of his fans might be. Glad you're not Foxo. |

Great report. Please update after tomorrow. I’ve seen him 3 times, once with the Band in 70s. I’d like to see him again. Gotta admire him for working into his 80s.

Here here! Unfortunately I didn't get to go this time around. The last time I saw him was at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool on his last visit and he was excellent. |

Very nice - would have loved to be at that, I think it was one of his only two performances of Roll on John (yes I am a massive geek ).

Bob Dylan is my favorite singer/songwriter--I've been a fan since 1963--but I've only seen him once and that was in 1979. May Bob remain "Forever Young."

Yes, a great song indeed! I wasn't aware of the stat It was a great concert, all the more special as it was the last one I got to attend with my late father. He was a massive fan and it (gladly) rubbed off on me. |

Thank you! Yes life is all about experiences...fortunately I got to attend quite a few Dylan gigs with him over the years starting with Hammersmith in 1993.

Great reporting. Thanks. Love the fact that Dylan still enjoys playing, puts out really good material, and younger folks (than me) are getting on board.
