Default Darrell Scott - guitar make?

What make of guitar is Darrell Scott playing here? I wonder how much of this is his fantastic playing, and how much is the guitars tone itself!

That's his guitar built by Stefan Sobell in the north of England. It's Stefan's Martin Simpson Signature model. http://www.sobellguitars.com

On Stefan's site, look under news--Darrell Scott just borrowed a guitar from Stefan for a one-off gig in Perth.

No commercial connection, just a very satisfied customer with five Sobells . . . .

Thanks Tim. I had the pleasure of seeing Darrell this spring at a local music festival in Paducah. We sat front row center, about 10 feet from the stage. What a show!

Yup, that's it.
Darrell used an all koa Taylor for many years, then changed to a couple of extras after playing with Robert Plant's band for a while.

He can also sometimes be seen with a very large (super jumbo) Kopp (?)

Whatever he's playing - he's good...very good!

I spent a week with him a few years ago in a songwriting seminar. Fascinating bloke.

Yes, he's a mind-blowing musician, isn't he? You're lucky to have seen him up close there in Paducah.

There are a lot of great singer/songwriters out there. Seems like a new one comes along almost daily. But Darrell is very much in a class by himself. Time will bear him out to be one of the greats of this generation.

A prolific songwriter, outstanding guitarist, and consummate performer.... I have seen him three times .
Twice during the Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival..... in Nashville ( highly recommended for anyone's '"Bucket List" ) great multiple small venue shows. ( played his Koa Taylor )
And once at the Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival ( more than just Bluegrass) played couple of different ones, perhaps like the one in the OP video)

Here he is in one of the Transatlantic Sessions, with his Taylor

Nothing against Gordon Lightfoot but I've never heard that song done better...Darrell owns that song!

DS also owns and plays several guitars built by the Montana-based Renaissance Man, Larry Pogreba.
