It has been a month since I updated this thread but I finally made some progress on the binding and arm and rib bevels. The last month has been busy and the show guitar got pushed to the side for a couple projects with much tighter deadlines.

Thanks for looking
Fred

Wow, that is spectacular. In an understated way. Beautiful.

Yes, beautiful.

I think you made the right decision with the ebony. That rosewood doesn't need much more.

The 1st coat of epoxy pore fill is now applied on the body and neck. This is one of my favorite steps of a build as I finally see the figure and color close to what it will be upon completion.

Thanks for looking, feel free to comment

The guitar is now ready for the finishing process, I test assembled the neck to body and checked its alignment with the centre finder and neck angle with my shop made digital indicator neck angle measuring fixture.

This guitar is finally finished, since it will not be needed until the show in September it kept getting pushed aside for more urgent projects over the last few months.

Here are a few photos of the completed instrument.

Have you given yourself the right to play it as much as you want or do you keep it as virgin as possible for the Santa Barbara show ?

Jean I am going to try to keep it in the case until the show, though a few friends will get to do a test drive over the next few months.

I have a video on youtube of my buddy Paul Murphy noodling on the guitar. Not the greatest as it was taken with my cell phone, no audio processing just what the phone mic recorded.

I tried to get it in this post but as usual I could not get the youtube funbtion on the forum to work so here is a link to it.
