Smiling would not be good for my image...

I was just taking pictures for fun. The cedar top and paua inlays make it a very photogenic instrument.

Here's a new video featuring the SJ:

http://youtu.be/mkTDYFhtvQA

I wanted to play the guitar without a capo so that the bass could be heard fully and clearly.

I usually don't slap the rhythm when I play the guitar but I made an effort this time around...

absolutely!! Joe why are you looking so grim while cradling what is
easily one of the best guitars in the world

While watching and enjoying these groovy videos made by Joe, I have come to the painful conclusion that I dont really deserve to own an Olson Guitar( even if I could afford one) as I dont have even a quarter of Joe's guitar playing skills! and this despite having spent half a lifetime as a pro musician.

Beautiful playing which compliments the beautiful guitar.

Keyshore

Hey Joe, Congrats on the fine build and your playing sounds great. I have a high respect for Jim and his guitars. I see that you got a Colton case, It's been a while but I honestly didn't know they were still being made. It's been a while since I have contacted them in the passed.

Thank you! Every guitar contains a few songs and this one came without too much effort.

Thanks, Keyshore. I'm sure there's plenty of Olson owners who think I'm painful to listen to -- but as long as I'm having fun, nothing else really matters...

Thanks, Dennis! Yes I guess Jim managed to get some Calton/Workhorse cases. I'm not impressed by the stories I read about the guy who runs that company but I couldn't help getting the case with the embossed "O" logo. FWIW it's a very nice case...

Excellent piece, its got a great mood to it and the black and white photography really works. The Olson sounds lovely, but your soundcloud recordings pull the best out of all your guitars: my favs are the OM-21 special and the Bourgeois, they have a nice woody sweetness that is very musical and pleasing to the ear. Great work and thanks for sharing your talent! Dennis

Scott, Dennis -- thank you for watching and posting...

I recently added a new recording of the Olson (this time with overdub), which you can find here:

https://soundcloud.com/syndicatedart...mprovisation-2

I also took dozens of pictures of this guitar but only managed to keep one. I haven't updated this thread in a while so I thought I would share it here:
