He's using more pedals than I do with my electric. It's sad the Michael Hedges didn't have a longer stay on Earth.

Some "percussive fingerstyle" guitarists are boring and repetitious - much like some guitar players who don't do any percussive things are boring and repetitious.

Jon Gomm is not.

I love what he does on guitar. I don't love all his songs but I must admire his arrangements.

His youtube channel has some videos without effects. Workshops and such. You still get the essentials but it gets more impressive with all the EQ, Octave, etc.
