Open C tuning
Beyond Fahey's masterpieces , I really like the meditative sound of this 'relatively' not so demanding alternate tuning , but very few tunes...any suggestion ? Thank you

You might explore Al Petteway's beautiful and haunting "Broken Mist" which is in CGCGCD tuning. In recent years I've done a lot of original instrumentals in this tuning and really enjoy it. Here's one: "Simple Overtones"
Also, the tune in my signature right now, "Noodlelicious" is also in this same tuning. All the best, Fred

Bruce Cockburn's "Foxglove" is a longtime go to fingerstyle tune in open C.

Kottke did "Busted Bicycle" in Open C tuned down a further 1 1/2 steps to Open A, 151513.
"Friends" by Zeppelin. Tune the 5th string up to A giving you Open C6 to play Bron-Y-Aur. |
