Heads up on Tascam DR-05X
The Tascam DR-05X is a very nice hand-held recorder.

Wow, that's a great deal. I've got the DR05, which is a great recorder. It's got to be better than a cell phone, but apparently that's who they're competing with....

Is it 24-bit output if used in "audio-interface" mode? My old Zoom H2 was limited to 16-bit, and even now some of the lower end USB mixers are apparently [still] operating that way. The manual is mum on that detail.
Edit: I sent the question to Tascam and they said the bit-depth is set at 24-bit. Sample rate options are 44.1kHz and 48kHz, i.e., while you can record at 96kHz, it's not supported in the interface mode, if it matters to anyone. "On the unit's AUDIO I/F screen, in the SAMPLE field either 44.1kHz or 48kHz can be selected. The bit depth is fixed at 24 bits."
