I would personally love to see an LG-2 added to this lineup. Every video I've seen of the current offerings has shown them to be outstanding. I usually watch JP last because he can make any guitar sound good and he does get overly zealous in his sales pitch, but I have to agree with him on this one (other than the rosewood J-45 comment).

Um, maybe because enough players still prefer a narrower neck...

They're hoping Epiphone does a Dove and J-185 version too!

I’d be very interested in a J-185 but I’m not getting my hopes up.

Great thing that we can buy good guitars in that pricerange, but in the end i think most people will go for the name on the headstock.

Agree Goat Mick and Robin, Wales, I'd love to see an LG-2 as well.

I think these are a good alternative for people who can’t afford a Gibson or just don’t want to spend that kind of money on a guitar. It’ll get you pretty close.

+1

My biggest bodied is a GA. I've wanted to get a dread or jumbo for "occasional use only" and a guitar with a 4 figure price is not a practical option.

Yah, that's true. He's got great hands and tone, so there probably aren't too many decently built guitars he can't enjoy or make sound good. Man's gotta make a living.

He's quite convincing. Makes me want to try Epiphones. But I'll wait for the fingerpicking comparison before I'm sold on the idea.

I was in the next town over today where they have a Guitar Center.
I dropped by, hoping to see one of these Epiphones. None there.
I got a three pack of grippy primetone picks, though! and played
a Gretch Jim Dandy!

Music Villa did a comparison video of the J-45 model with a Gibson. While the Epi sounded like a nice guitar, the difference was apparent to me.
