Default JBL Eon One Poor Warranty Service

I have had my Eon One system for less than two years.
Because of Covid, I was not able to use it for over a year.
The total uses are 6.

When I went to use it last month, the speakers on the tower would not work.
I contacted JBL's service people and they said it would be covered under warranty and to take it to a local repair shop that was on their approved list.

The problem was than one of the connections inside one of the spacers was pushed in and not making contact.

The shop charged me for the repairs and I was not happy about it.

I contacted JBL and they said that the problem was caused by me placing the spacers together so it wasn't covered by warranty.
How can that be? There is only one way to put the spacers together and take then apart.

I see that these speakers are no longer being produced. I have to wonder why?

They probably stopped manufacturing it cause their newer model came out (the one AeroUSA is reviewing in the other recent thread).
