Talking Could someone help me identify this spruce?

Hi, I was wondering if someone could tell me what type of figuring this is considered? Heavy Bearclaw? Super silking?

Hard to tell without seeing the inside. It’s difficult to tell if it has stain or tinted finish. Perhaps curly Redwood, Bearclaw Sitka or Euro spruce? Can you contact the builder or factory who made the guitar?

I’ve had Redwood and Sitka with very similar figure. They call it curl in Redwood but Bearclaw in Sitka. Regardless what it’s commonly called, it’s localized runout.

The quilt nomenclature is [usually] found in flatsawn cuts of wood and that top isn’t flatsawn.
