Default Anybody else play sitting on the pot in the bathroom?

Tried it for the first time today. Gotta say the sound is kind of nice in there. Was really into learning a piece and didn't want to stop because mother nature was calling.

I wonder how may songs have been written sitting on the pot? Probably not many but I'll bet a few!

Lol I have also discovered this gem of musical knowledge. Unfortunately my sink and cabinet is in the way of my guitar so only my daughters little Luna will suffice.

I enjoy the sound so I will sometimes just stand in there and jam.

I’ve never called it a ‘pot’ though. ‘Tis The Throne.

My first thought when I saw the title of this thread was:

There's a song called "Sitting On The Pot In The Bathroom" ??

I've heard of parlor guitars. Not sure I'm ready for a potty guitar.

That's where Paul Simon composed several of his songs at his parents' home in Queens including "Sound of Silence".

All these years I never knew what "Sound of Silence" was about. Poor guy.

Well, just when I thought I had seen or heard every possible thread discussion, I find out I was wrong. I have to say, I am kind of glad I never saw this one "going" down like this, but hey, good acoustics are good acoustics.

I've seen YouTubes of people playing and singing in a bathroom because of the great acoustics. But the seat was down and they had their pants on. No, I've never heard of anyone playing their guitar WHILE answering the call of nature. That one is a bit much for me. I wasn't sure where all of my limits were, but I just found another one!

Seems not very hygienic. Do you have a guitar stand in the bathroom for when it comes time to wipe?

It's not as difficult as singing and playing at the same time!

I would not be at all surprised if that was the inspiration for this song...

Remind me to never ask if I can play one of your guitars.
