Default NCD: Hoffee Splatter

Today I picked up this beauty from Jeff Hoffee:

The splatter finish turned out better than I had hoped. I am very pleased. Special shout out to Jeanne Kukich of the Franklin Guitar Co. for facilitating this order. And to BlindBoyJimi for selling me the Franklin OM that now resides in this case

Very cool case!! I guess that one doesn't need stickers to make it stand out.

Being previously ignorant of Mr. Hoffee’s existence, I read the title of the thread as “coffee splatter”. I was pleased to see that the actual item in question is far more visually pleasing!

This totally rocks. I love how you went with the light blue/turquoise base!

I love even more that there's a Franklin in the case!

Congrats on an awesome case!!!!

lol! Easy to spot that case on the conveyor belt for sure.

Erithon, I think it's an acquired taste . The more I look at it, the more I like it.

Thank you, all! Now I have to get rid of that new case smell. Any suggestions?

I have the same reaction, actually. My instinct was to go with complementary colors (white, dark blue) just one contrasting color (yellow) because I felt that would keep it from being too busy. But my sister convinced me to add in a second contrasting color (orange) to add more visual interest and dynamism. When I first saw the case I wasn't sure about the orange, but now I like it. I see what she means in terms of making it pop.
