The Legacy Earth was based on Patrick James Eggle's Linville.

This is a link to my 2010 Linville cedar top and walnut b/s album.

Beautiful guitar! You probably have the biggest collection of Faith guitars in AGF!

Another Faith Venus Blood Moon Owner here

Had it since July and can’t put it down. Originally played one at the start of the year that someone else was picking up but bought a Baby Taylor instead because I couldn’t justify the extra cost and didn’t need the cutaway or electronics.

But never really bonded with the Taylor; it didn’t sound great to me in dropped tuning and there was something not quite right for me so it went and I bought the guitar I should have bought in the first place. Compared it to Taylor’s, Martins, Yamaha and Ibanez and it was streets ahead in sound and build quality.

Congratulations on owning the FVBMB! Yes, it’s a great guitar! And it’s beautiful too!

I’m not surprised that you’re still loving it after 5 months. I’ve owned mine for 1 year & 9 months and I’m still amazed at what a great guitar it is! Enjoy playing and bonding with your Faith!

I had never heard of this brand. It's an unusual name. Do any of you know why they chose it?

Here in the US, because the brand is unfamiliar, I'd bet a lot of people would think a Faith guitar owner was making a religious statement.

Hi. Since I’m the OP, I’ll try answering your question to the best of my ability. I have no idea why the Company started using the name Faith. Perhaps someone from the UK would know how the name originated. I’m from Singapore.

I am a Faith guitar owner and when I started this thread, it is/was to let other Faith guitar owners highlight their guitars. It was never to make a religious statement. These are great guitars and I thought it would be good to introduced people in the US to this brand of guitars. Btw, I am also the OP for Taylor GS Mini Owner’s Club.

If you like to know more about Faith guitars, below is the link.

Hope this clarifies your doubts.

No, I myself never thought you personally were making a religious statement. I was speaking more generally; an average observer in the US might make that mistake if they saw someone playing a guitar with the word "Faith" on it. That sort of thing is common here. People wear shirts with the word Faith on them, and such like.

I already went to that site, but they don't explain the name.

The builder Patrick Eggle spent some time in the US and lived in Western North Carolina from what I have been told. I met a man that owns a guitar store in a mall in Gatlinburg Tennessee that said he knew Mr. Eggle. The shop owner himself is from NC and drives over the mountains to his shop in TN. The shop had the only Faith guitar I have ever seen in the states. I don't remember what model it was. I love the way that Venus Blood Moon looks. I would love to play one to see what they sound like in person. Now that is a guitar that makes you want to buy it just for its looks!

Thanks for the update on PJE.

The Venus Blood Moon has the mids of a hog top and a bit of high end chime of the Koa top. As I couldn’t bring myself to come up with the money for a K24CE, the Blood Moon was my alternative to the K24CE.

Sound like it may be similar to my 224ce-k. I wanted a K24 and had the opportunity to play it back to back with a 224ce-k at a music store near me and honestly, I liked the 224ce-k better and it is well over 2k cheaper than the K24.

+1. Yes, I tried the 224ce-k a couple of months ago and was very impressed with how it sounded. Great buy!

Thanks for clarifying what you meant.

Probably only PJE and his few close associates knew why he came up with the name “Faith”.

Why no fret markers? That bothered me when looking at the Neptune Cutaway.

Don’t know the answer to that but there are markers on the neck which work for me.
