Are you getting them from Strings and Beyond ?
If so they've only been carrying them since 2017, so I don't think you need to be concerned about old stock.
Also Galli is still showing them on their website, so I don't think they'll be discontinued in the near future.

I think you'll like the Galli strings.

I've tried all three of the Galli sets, AJF1047, AJF1150 and AJF1252 but usually just use the AJF1047 string set.
I think they are good strings and use them more than the Dogal Nightclub V25 I mentioned earlier but I prefer the Dogal.

One reason is the Dogal Nightclub V25 seem to have less tension than the Galli AJF1047 extra light.
Dogal are round core and Galli are hex core, I'm not sure but I think that might be why the Dogal seem to have less tension.
Another reason I prefer Dogal is because the flat wound surface feels smoother than the flat wound surface on the Galli.
Also, in all three sets the G string had a slightly less smooth surface than the other flat wound strings in the Galli sets.
I would get occasional string noise from the G string in all three set, not too much or that often but it would be there every once in awhile.
The Dogal strings don't have any string noise.
I also feel the Dogal string may last a little longer than the Galli.
Even though I prefer the Dogal Nightclub V25 strings they are about $10 more per set than the Galli.
Galli are with-in my budget so it's what I normally use.

I was too hasty when I replied to your original post. I thought the two names were actually one company. I think I'm going to try to Dogal first on a little parlor guitar I have. I think those will sound very good on that guitar. But I'll probably order a set of the others for one of my J-45s to see how feel/sound. It'll probably have to wait until next month as I'm a little low on funds but I'll try to post an update.

Thanks again for the suggestion!

Default Dogal Galli String Tension

Earlier on this post I mentioned it seemed the Dogal Nightclub V25 had less tension than the Galli AJF1047.
I checked around and found the following string tension information, the Dogal V25 have much less tension.
I was thinking of trying the little heavier Dogal Nightclub V24, but they are more costly than the V25, plus the B string is a flat wound.
Would there be an intonation issue going from a plain B string to a wound B string ?

I once tried D'Addario flat tops to get rid of the rattling while playing slide.

The problem I met was they muffled the guitar when I was fretting chords.

It seems like Dogal are the way to go, even for the higher price, at least on guitars that 'want' lower tension strings like my Kay and my Parlor guitar.

As for the wound B, my guess is that the intonation would likely be effected. To be honest, I'm not sure I've ever even heard of a wound B. That sounds like something you might want on a Manouche/Selmer-style guitar. It seems like it would have a duller attack. That might be a good thing on certain guitars.
