Pellerin Dreadnought CW Presentation model 2020
New Pellerin Dreadnought CW with very fine inlayed fingerboard by Takayuki Ogawa from Ogawainlaycraft.
Built from very dark Indian Rosewood for back and sides paired with a torrefied salvaged bearclaw Sitka spruce top. This guitar was supposed to be shown for the first time at the Tokyo Handcrafted Guitar Festival before it was cancelled because of actual pandemia. Hiscox case included 9450$ usd (SOLD!!!) I'm typically pretty minimalist when it comes to adornment, but that fretboard is perfect. The progression stands as art for its own sake, which is maybe what separates it from the impressive but merely busy that it might have been with a less deft hand. Well done.
