Default Literature/scans of Seagull "20th Anniversary" S6 + opinion?

I'm wondering if anyone has (or can point to) any literature on the Seagull "20th Anniversary" (especially the Spruce + Maple) edition (2002).

Personal experience/impressions of that model in particular, would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Darren, try asking in the Seagull group forum at Acoustic Guitar magazine.

Default 20th anniversaire

Darren,

We got one for a family member. It was a 20th ann. spruce/maple bought used off craigslist for our niece when she was getting serious about guitar.

That was several years ago. She still has it. Beautiful guitar. Solid value.

I can very highly recommend the 20th spruce/maple, if the condition and set-up are decent. ( I would NOT, however, be recommending the 25th anniversary maple model. Different, muffled in comparison.)

If you go to this thread, you will see some additional comments from owners of the 20th ann. spruce (plus a comment from someone who prefers the cedar top):

Happy hunting, John

Thanks to both of you. That was a great discussion thread and I'm signing up for the Acoustic Guitar Seagull group now.

I have both of the 20th ann. guitars plus a S6 Mahogany spruce. They are both heavy guitars compared to the mahogany spruce. I have the same strings on all three. The cedar top is my favorite to sing along with and the spruce maple has a more concentrated, bright attack that cuts though the sound of other instruments when playing in a group.

Default Reviews from Harmony Central

Thanks for the replies!

Adding here just in case someone is Googling the 20th Anniversary Seagull and finds this thread.

Also, some gorgeous photos of the Spruce/Maple 20th Anniversary here: http://69mm.multiply.com/photos/albu...th-Anniversary

Was hoping to get out and pick mine up from the friend that did the purchase for me before Jan. 1st, but looks like it is going to be an extra week before it is in my hands. Can't wait.
