Default Switching base strings on twelve

I mostly use my twelves for strumming and rythem in gerneral.

I have always had a hard time fingerstyle because it's hard to catch the second string for the base line melody.

Has anyone experimented with putting the base string above the treble string for the bottum three strings EAD ?

It seems that alternate base style fingerpicking would be easier that way.

let me know...

Thanks

Default Like Deja Vu All Over Again...

This was discussed back in July... try this thread:

One thing to consider... you'd need to replace the nut to get the string slots set up properly, and you'd likely have to replace the saddle if it's grooved from string wear.

That's the way Rickenbacker does it.
