Default Tension of John Pearse strings?

Anyone know where I might be able to find the string tensions of John Pearse strings? I've looked at a number of the popular retail websites and have e-mailed JP directly, but so far, no luck...

Not sure where I found it originally but I have a string tension document I made and I have the 600L listed as 163lbs of tension.

Here's a copy and paste of their response to my email inquiry from 2015, of the specific gauges I asked about. Took a few days to get the reply.

Dominick,

Thanks for the email. The tensions are:

600L = 163 pounds
610LM = 152
650LM = 173

And, yes, they are made here in the USA.

Best regards,

Todd Newman

Thank you...that's one I was looking for! Strange that the tension is somewhat of a mystery considering how popular a brand they seem to be?

I'd been using Elixir HD Lights on my 814ce since I bought it. I tried 600Ls on it and BAM they are such a winner. The lower tension is SOOO much better, and I love the sound as they age on my Taylor. Not so brassy.

So, I couldn't leave well enough alone and I put some Elixirs back on the Taylor and it was instant dislike. They were clangy and brassy, they felt really tight, and I was reminded of how much I hate that slippery feel.

No more Elixirs for me, John Pearse all the way!!!
