It's amazing, sounds like a classical guitar.

Ralph must be an amazing woodworker if he can get ARW to the weight of a vintage guitar, it's heavy wood!
I'm reminded of the sound of John Renbourn's Bown — wonderful guitar. The best guitar I heard last year was Chris Stern's new Bown.

Just caught this thread and to say I'm jealous is an understatement! Bown's everywhere. Seriously though a Bown OM is the holy grail of guitars for me, he lives down the road from me and I've spoken to Chris (Yrksman) about him although he made me more jealous cause he has 2 soon to be 3 Bown's! I looked at the one you have Trevor in Brighton but its an OM I'd love. Enjoy the Bown Stephen and one day I might be able to chip in on a Bown thread with a Bown in my music room...

Easiest to email Ralph - he's very responsive. Or PM Chris - he's seen him very recently.

IMHO, for the quality on offer and his reputation, his price is very reasonable indeed especially vs. the USA "exotics" we see on this side of the pond. Different type of sound though.

Cheers,
Steve

You may have good reasons but it is annoying that you don't leave the asking price on your site, after the guitar has been sold.

Wow - that sounds beautiful. I've never played a Bown before but definitely would like to check them out now.

I'm not sure what you are referring to here? The Bown I posted photos of is for sale and on my website with a price.

Now Trevor: I've just looked at your site and used the search box and discovered things I'd not seen before. No offence meant. You have some lovely stock and they are well presented. It's always interesting to scroll through your site. Cheers.
