Thanks for the nice comments, I really like the way it came out. I did have a vision of what I thought I could do with mahogany and talked to Trevor about adding in just a little color to it. The look of the wood (raw) was ... um ... well not all that special (looking), but I knew it was going to be something in the end. It still had a great tap, so that is what ia most important anyway.

This guitar really pushed us on the photography front. It is really hard to actually capture what this back and sides are "doing." The guitar has this bronze look to it yet when you move so the light reflects differently of it, you will see it changing where the darker and lighter areas quickly reverese sort of hologram effect. It is really cool. (Well I thought so)

Trevor, I really like your shots, but wouldn't you agree, this is one that really has to be seen in person to really get the whole vision.

Wow, that's a real beauty! I can well believe that it looks even better in reality, I bet it sounds just as good as it looks too

Hi John,

Agreed, it looks much better than a photo can convey, its moves around in the light.

It sounds great too. Over the years my personal preference between rosewood and mahogany has shifted from the former to the latter. Your OM is more confirmation of that.

The guitar looks fabulous. I hope I can get down to see it before it sells.

I requested it, both because I like wood inlays and due to the difficulties of exporting pearl/abalone from the US.

Thanks for the nice comment, Yes Trevor simply said "no shell" and really left the rest up to me/us. I have been moving in the direction of using more wood for inlay and markers, but I do have one on the bench that will be getting a lot of Blue Paua (I still like that too ... especially on dark woods)

choucas09,I hope you get a chance to try this one out ... let us know what you think

Kevin A Thanks for doing the post production photograghy work on that photo ... and thanks for posting it. Still ... it really is much "cooler" in person.
