This should be a winner - Koa & Lutz is a very nice combo. Easy on the eye. And in that GC size it'll sing, I'm sure. Stunning figure in that Koa BTW!

Very nice looking. I've been impressed with the look of John's guitars. Hope to play one someday. Congratulations.

My John How (ladder braced concert) was a beautiful sounding guitar out of the case, now after two years, it's just a joy to play, my favorite guitar.

Mine has no truss rod (carbon rods) and the neck and action is just how I received it. You should love yours, looks like a stunner.

Congrats on the new build. Beautiful wood and guitar!

I am still enamored at my small ladder braced How. It is my favorite acoustic to play. It is so articulate and lively. I never pass up an opportunity to show John's work.

Congratulations, nice looking guitar so far. The woods are beautiful.
I too hope to play a How in the near future. I think his contemporary x-braced models look incredibly good, can only imagine how they sound.

Oh MAN! I almost bought that very set. I debated with myself whether the budget could handle it, and whilst in the throes of indecision, suddenly it's no longer on the site...the vendor has sold it!

Well, as consolation, now I know that it went to a talented builder, and a great guy. John is just the guy to make that set work, and now I can sleep a little better.

(Still wish I'd bought it, though....)

By the way, the guitar is quite handsome.

Steve

Hey Steve, I know you have built your share of beautiful Koa guitars!! I was eyeing this set long before this commission came about just hoping no one else would get there before me. There was more than one set from this log though and I wish I had the money to get the rest. It is currently curing for a few weeks and then we'll see how it sings!!

Wow, that Koa is on fire! Even after the finish was applied!! I love John's guitars, he just seems to have quite a magical touch with those smaller bodies. And being a fingerstyle player makes them quite appealing to me.

I look forward to seeing the completed product of this one!
