Thumbs up NGD Martin D-41 Turbo

I just got this in late Thursday night. This is one of the Mandolin Brother's custom ordered Martin D-41 Turbo models.

It was a D-41 with custom ordered 1/4" scalloped forward shift braces, a Red Spruce top 1 3/4" nut width and a Geib case. I can see why these were so popular on the UMGF years back when Mando Bros were in business still.

Here's a video I put up of it. Its a bit glitchy but the tone comes through well.

Gorgeous guitar! Pretty similar to the reimagined 41s (which I have) except mine has a Sitka top and 5/16” bracing. Either way 41s are sweet, sweet guitars. Congrats!

Many congrats - that D41 has insane tone. Now that's the sound of a Martin.

Used to play those all the time when MandoBros was my friendly local guitar store - but for the 1-3/4" neck I'd have bought one long ago...

Wow! I didn't think I would like the sound of this before I heard it, but that is pretty amazing! Lots of bass, for sure, but because the top is also plenty bright with that red spruce top, it sounds super rich!

And of course, it looks great!

I wasn't really playing a song, just playing random chords and things to show off the tone of the guitar mainly. The finger picking thing at the end is an old Chet Atkin song, there's a lot more to it but I didn't play much of it.

Thanks for taking the time to watch and listen. This one is a knock out instrument!!!
