Default Circa (John Slobod) Meet Up at Schoenberg on Monday, Jan 28

For those of you in the SF Bay Area, John Slobod will be visiting on Monday, January 28th. I've arranged to have a little get together at Schoenberg that day (when they are normally closed). I'll have my 3 Circas with me:

OM - Adi top and Madrose back and sides
000-12 - Adi top and Brazilian back and sides
000-12c - German top with German maple

Also, Schoenberg currently has a 2016 Euro spruce and maple 00-12 in stock and available for immediate purchase. I've played this guitar and it's phenomenal.

For those of you in the area, it'll be a unique opportunity to play a small variety of Circas and meet John, who is an awesome dude. If you're considering a commission, this will be a good chance to hear examples that cover a pretty broad spectrum of what John can do. I find it's always helpful to have a common reference point with a known guitar when trying to build something new.

Time will be 1:30 on Monday, January 28th. Schoenberg Guitars in Tiburon.

106 Main St.
Tiburon, CA 94920

Wish I could be there. I haven't heard one of John's guitars in person and I sure would like to.

Dang that sounds fun. Steve Baughma's Circa is one of the nicest guitars I have played. You should see if you can get him to show up.

Wow. I'd love to attend.

A few years back, I was in Portland, Maine for a business trip. As luck would have it, John was in Massachusetts at the time so I wasn't able to meet John in person.

I'm hopeful to attend. If there's interest, I would gladly bring along my two Circas (OM28 adi/braz, OM28 adi/maple).

Thanks for organizing!

Haha! I didn't want to be presumptuous, but very glad to bring my Circas to be sampled as well.

I think it'll be a fun time. Eric is great, and I'd love to meet John in person. Let's hope my schedule cooperates!

Matt, I’m working on it. I’m thinking about 2:00 in the afternoon but am waiting to hear back from James at Schoenberg. I should know tomorrow.
